Made from silk ladies' dresses and presented by the Ladies of Lexington, Kentucky, after the victory battle of Richmond, Kentucky, August 1862. Was used as General Smith's Headquarters flag, he was the commanding officer of the Trans-Mississippi Department in Shreveport, Louisiana.
