Description Uniform frock coat: double breasted, 9 buttons in each row in groups of three, steel gray wool cloth with buff wool broadcloth piping, no facings, light brown wool and silk lining in body, unbleached cotton sheating lining in sleeves, embroidered gold general's insignia backed in buff wool broadcloth on collar, gold sleeve braid, Confederate staff buttons with backmark, "RIVET'D & SOLDER'D."
