Event Battle of Glendale / Frayser's Farm
Provenance Capt. Virginius Loraine Weddell of Co. E, "Confederate Cadets", 41st Virginia Infantry, used this housewife. He was mortally wounded in the Battle of Frayser's Farm on June 30, 1862. A bursting shell broke his back. Weddell died at age 19 on July 22, 1862 in Petersburg, Virginia of his wounds.
