Description Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver, Type IV - .44 cal., 6-shot rebated cylinder, 8" round barrel, creeping style loading lever - missing plunger screw, fixed with wire. Brass blade front sight, rear sight through v-notch in hammer. Casehardened frame, hammer, and loading lever; remainder blued. One piece walnut grip, brass trigger guard and strap, steel backstrap. Bluing/Mottling +/- 80% worn. Scene depicting the Texas Navy's engagement of 16 May, 1843 is roll engraved on the cylinder - (mostly visible).
