Provenance These buttons were found with the bones of an unknown Georgia soldier that was unearthed by Mr. Robert Canfield on his farm at Chaffin's Bluff. The bones were later exhumed by Roland D. Henry, Richmond Battlefield Park, and the buttons were presented to the Confederate Museum. The remains of the unknown soldier were interred at Hollywood Cemetery under the auspices of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, July 7, 1939.
