Provenance Kepi of Private Richard Edward Wright (1844-1864), a "mere boy" who served in Company F of the 55th Virginia Infantry. Wright was promoted to 1st Sergeant in 1863. Killed on September 30, 1864 at the battle of Peebles Farm (Pegram's Farm). The Wright-Latane Camp of Confederate Veterans of Rappahannock, Virginia was named in his honor.
