The gold and enamel fraternity pin consists of two parts - pin and chain with attached charm. The pin is shaped like a upside down crescent moon over a five-point star. Three sets of images are enameled in black on the crescent. A skull and cross bones is placed in the center. Crossed brands are placed on the left side. Crossed swords are placed on the right side. A five-pointed star is below the moon with two of its arms dissecting it. The star is trimmed in white enamel with black enamel fill. A small round ruby is inset at each point in each arm. Greek letters 'KE' [Kappa Sigma] are stenciled in gold in the center of the star against black enamel fill. A band of gold inset with alternating diamonds and rubies surrounds the letters. A tiny chain hangs from the pin and has an attached charm. The charm consists of three horizontal bars connected by thin vertical bars on the reverse. Each bar contains a row of alternating ruby and diamond chips. The back of the pin rests against the backing of the frame and is therefore, not visible. This pin is part of a large framed collection (0985.7.135); the rest of the collection is enumerated separately (0985.7.135a- 0985.7.135l, 0985.7.135n-0985.7.135hh).
