Description This chair was made from animal horns (Texas longhorn cattle). The chair has a yellow velvet seat and yellow upholstery tape edging. There is a silver dedication plate on the back of the seat that reads: "Presented to the Confederate Museum by Mrs. Mollie R. Magill Rosenberg, Galveston Texas in memory of her brother William D. Barlow Magill born in Hagerstown, Md., June 26, 1835; joined the C.S.A. in Palestine Texas April 1861 under Colonel Baylor at Battle of Sharpsburg Sept. 17, 1862. Transferred to Co. C, 1st Maryland Cavalry, surrendered , NC after April 9, 1865. Died in Baltimore, May 25, 1889."
