Description Metal scribe: made from a piece of wood handle with a metal wire. Handle is in the shape of a square straight-sided dowel which tapers to the end opposite the wire. The smaller end has been shaped into a pyramid point. The larger end has been whittled into a flat ended point into which a piece of metal was inserted. A small hole is in one side near the pyramid point. The metal wire has two flat sides with a blunted point tip and is in the shape of a lancet. Probably used to score or etch.
