Description Infant dress (said to be baptismal gown, but believed generally for children) made of fine white cotton and has cap sleeves, high waist, and square neckline. The bodice has vertical tucks and cutwork with a pulled thread line at the waist. The sleeves are capped and have drawn thread work with thread fringe edge. The hem is irregular with scalloping of cutwork and netting. The gown is associated with a white christening cap (.104b). Hand sewn.
