Description Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver - .31 cal., 6-shot round cylinder, 4" octagonal barrel, loading lever missing. Brass pin front sight, rear sight through v-notch in hammer. Casehardened frame, hammer, and loading lever; remainder blued. One piece walnut grip, Silver-plated brass large triggerguard, strap, and backstrap - repaired at front of triggerguard with copper washer, covering serial no. Plating +/- 100% worn. Bluing/Mottling +/- 100% worn, heavily pitted, heavily oxidized. Scene depicting a stagecoach hold-up is roll engraved on the cylinder - (indiscernable). Proof, Assembly Marks - Triggerguard, left shoulder: G. Stamped - Backstrap at butt: 178895 (all other identifying marks deteriorated).
