Description The badge is a white face celluloid on metal back button. No attachment is on the metal back. Four crossed Confederate flags are printed in red and blue inside a circle in the center of the button face. The flags are - in order from left to right - First National, Army of Northern Virginia, Second National, and Third National. "UCV" is printed in blue above the Second National and just inside the circle. The following is printed in blue around the outer band of the face, "DELEGATE / 34th REUNION MEMPHIS JUNE 1924." A paper label adhered to the metal back has the manufacturer's information printed in black, "THE WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. / BUTTONS / BADGES / NOVELTIES / AND SIGNS / NEWARK, N. J." Accession number "979.5.20" is handwritten in black ink at the top of this label.
