Description Single breasted, nine button front, brownish-gray wool and cotton twill cloth with no facings; dark green (originally black) wool piping on the collar and cuffs, brown cotton striped lining in the body, unbleached cotton drill lining in the sleeves, wool sergeant's chevrons on the sleeves, Federal enlisted man's buttons with no backmarks.
