Description Pocket watch: Silver hunting case decorated with a shield and garter motif and marked, "1451". The cover is broken off at the hinge. The dial is flat, size 18 and white enamel with black Roman numerals, inset second dial, and Breguet style hands. The mechanism is marked, "Wm. Ellery Boston". It has hunting movement, Swiss make, and key wind and set. Crystal and second hand missing. Stem extends from body at numeral 3 position.

Provenance A pocket watch used all during the war by Caleb Warren. His father rode horseback for several days and finally reached the enemy's lines and managed to pass, and gave the watch to his son, Caleb. Caleb Warren was a member of the 3rd Arkansas Infantry.
