Description Infantry Officer's Sword,1821-1840: blade frozen in scabbard; reeded bone grip with brass ferrule; eagle head pommel; center of knuckle bow cast with five in-line balls; guard formed from five-ball branch running perpendicular to the blade (half of guard and quillon missing). Leather scabbard (.70a) with a brass mounts; remains of leather slings and metal buckles attached to suspension rings.
