Description Entree / chafing dish: Lid (a), serving tray (b), inner tray (c), and base (d). Rolled plate silver with heavy floral scrollwork gadroon mount handles and feet. Heavy gadroon edges at top lip of serving tray (b), bottom lip and perimeter of top of lid (a). a: 7/8" x 5/8" "boar's head" crest engraved center front side, number "2" on top side of lip, right side. Gadroon mount handle removeable, blank on bottom. Lid had removeable handle to double as extra entree dish. b: Number "2" on top inside of lip, left side. Number "3689" scratched into bottom side exterior. c: Number "2" on top side of lip, left side. d: Number "3" inside, left side. Maker's mark, 1/4" x 1/8" "hand" symbol, center bottom of base.
