|Description||Model 1850 U.S. Foot Officer Sword: slightly curved blade with barely discernible etching, inscribed "Manufacture [L ? ]du bas rhim"; brass hilt with guard pieced by floral sprays; knuckle bow pierced for sword knot near pommel which is decorated along forward edge with leaves; wooden grip covered in shagreen and wound with brass wire. Leather scabbard (.420a) with brass mounts.|
