Description The housewife consists of a black velvet covered tri-fold case with a brown silk liner. Straps on the center panel hold a small writing book, three brown pocketbooks, and a brass lidded tube with red enamel decoration. The straps on the lower panel are empty. A black velvet heart pincushion with silk chenille needlepoint is also inside; brass beads form a monogram, "AND" on the front.
