Description Dagger: double-edged blade of diamond cross section with stopped ricasso stamped "EDWARD / BA[R]NES / & SONS", brass ovoid cross guard; one-piece mother of pearl handle; German silver (?) pommel cast with flower and leaves and ferrule with egg and dart design. With velvet covered wooden sheath (.205a) with German silver (?) throat and tip, strip of gold braid runs the length of the sheath, hiding the seam; hand written history glued to sheath.
