|Description||The cloth is a remnant of calico print (homespun ?) of brown field with red, white, and black.|
|Dimensions||W-3 L-4 inches|
|Owned||Gentry family (tentative)|
"The cloth remnant is a sample of Confederate calico, which cost five dollars ($5) per yard during the war." (source of this information is unknown).
Possibly the "1 piece of wartime cloth" donated by the Gentry family, mentioned in Gentry provenance. As this is one of the only homespun samples in the TN collection, it is possibly this fabric with an unknown provenance.
