This was part of a map stand, or screen, made of various wartime relics. Originally described as, "Map and screen made of wood Libby Prison, 2 guns, 1 sabre, 2 John Brown pikes, 2 shells from Dutch Gap." The map/stand was dissembled, for unknown reasons, on March 9, 1977.
Described on label attached to stand as, "Mapstand made of: 1 U.S. 1842 .69-cal. musket; 1 U.S. 1863 .58-cal. musket; 2 Civil War bayonets; 1 Civil War sabre (possibly Confed.); 2 10-lb. Parrott shells."
