Description Mounted Artillery Officer's Saber,1815-1830; single-edged curved blade with single broad fuller, etched with floral sprays and military trophies; hilt of two sweeping branches and knuckle bow flowing into pommel which extends into backstrap; wooden grip covered in leather and twisted brass wire; forward curved quillon terminates in a disc, pointed langets extend over blade and countersunk into grip. With metal scabbard (.428a) and leather sword knot (.428b).
