Description The coding disc is a brass disc with the alphabet in radiant squares around the outer perimeter. The inner disc rotates and has a similar alphabet configuration. The obverse center portion has "CSA S. S." in script lettering. The reverse center perimeter is stamped, "F. LABARRE / RICHMOND. VA:" in serif font. Two engraved marks near edge on reverse look like an "X".
