Part of a jewelry set (necklace, hair comb, two bracelets, two earrings, and two cuff links) made from buttons off Confederate Army and Navy officer uniforms. The buttons are brass, two-piece and the larger size (0.875"), except where noted small (0.5").|

The jewelry set is made from buttons of Confederate Army and Navy officers' uniforms. The donor's husband, William W. Davies, spent forty years collecting the buttons and then having them made into a set of jewely called "Rebel Brass."
The buttons in the comb originated from the following Confederate officers (from top, L to R): Raphael Semmes, George Washington Custis Lee x2, J. B. Gordon, Bradley T. Johnson, J. R. Tucker, Nathan Bedford Forrest, and JEB Stuart.
