The roll-up style housewife consists of a soft brown leather exterior and a brown velvet interior liner with three blue-green plaid pockets attached. Pieces of fabric are sewn to the bottom pocket with the initials "G. A. W." on the top one. A velvet covered disc (half-inch diameter) was suspended from a string above the bottom pocket, but is now detached. Some of the edges are tattered.
