Description Saucer with matching cup (.1a) is Danish porcelain with white gold trim and hand painted lilies of the valley in a circular pattern. The bottom of the saucer has a brown color circular stamp with "Denmark" and a crown enclosed plus three wavy blue lines. The saucer has an affixed adhesive label with the number "303" and "Fla" on its bottom

Provenance Winnie Davis handpainted the cup and saucer and gave them to her mother. Mrs. Davis used them constantly until her death. Reportedly, she took her last nourishment from them before she passed. Mrs. J. Addison Hayes (Maggie Davis) gave the cup and saucer to her sister-in-law, Mrs. L. H. Lawrence [Lucy White "Lula" Hayes Lawrence], who gave it in turn to the Annie Coleman Chapter, UDC.
