Presentation flag of 3rd Alabama Cavalry, Co. C, "Wilcox Dragoons," the first cavalry company organized from Wilcox County, Alabama.
According to research done by a genealogist, Samuel Calvin Cook was chosen by the other member of his company to receive the flag of the Wilcox Dragoons when it was formally presented to the company by the ladies of Camden who made it. Mr. J. O. Belknap of Mobile was commissioned to do an oil painted scene in the center of both sides.
