Light Artillery Saber: single-edged curved blade with single broad fuller, stamped "US / GGS / 1860" and "AMES MFG CO / CHICOPEE / MASS"; brass hilt formed from knuckle bow terminating in disc quillon, flared pommel; wood grip covered with leather and wound with twisted brass wire. Metal scabbard (.756a) with two suspension rings and drag.
