Description Small amount of wheat flour. Originally stored in envelope (as sent by donor), within an envelope; currently stored in small lidded glass jar. The following is written in pencil in longhand on the front of the original exterior envelope: "Small quantity of Confederate Commissary flour issued as rations to Marshall A. Moncure at Confederate Commissary, Petersburg, Va in the fall of 1864 compliments of A.B. Moncure, his son." On the back: "this is genuine Confederate Commissary flour and was issued to my Father Marshall A. Moncure 9th Va Cavalry Co. B in Fall of 1864."
