|Provenance||Painting of the Texas Blue Bonnets, honoring Mrs. Oscar Barthold, Regent of the Texas Room. Painted from nature by Mrs. G. A. Gray, Texas, nee Maude M. Minyard; her father, W. M. Minyard, enlisted as a private in 1861 from Dadeville, Alabama, in John Stokes Company. Mrs. Gray was a pupil of the famous nature painter Julian Onderdonk, a Texan Impressionist painter, often called "the father of Texas painting."|
