|Description||The artificial flowers consist of two artifical pansies made of cloth, attached to a piece of letterhead paper, with typed affadavit dated December 13, 1889. "Mayoralty of New Orleans" is printed in blue in the top center of the paper. The Mayoraly of New Orleans City Seal is printed in blue at the upper left corner. The seal is 1.5 inches in diameter. "JOS. A. SHAKESPEARE / Mayor" is printed underneath the seal. A gold seal (2.5 inches in diameter) of the city is printed at the lower left corner. The paper is brown from age and has tattered edges, especially around the top.|

The artificial pansies are part of the ones forming the decorations around the remains of Jefferson Davis, with an affadavit stating this. The affadavit is dated December 13, 1889, from the secretary to the Mayor of New Orleans.
