Description Uniform frock coat: double breasted, 8 buttons in each row, set in pairs, light gray wool cloth with buff wool broadcloth facings, no piping, dark green wool and silk lining in the body, unbleached cotton osnaburg lining in sleeves; embroidered gold general's collar insignia, gold sleeve braid, Confederate staff buttons with backmarks: "W. DOWLER/SUPERIOR QUALITY" and "W. DOWLER/SUPERIOR."
