|Description||The commemorative plate is one of a set of fifteen plates (.1880-.1880l), representing each of the Confederate States. This plate is the one representing the State of Tennessee. The plates are white porcelain with gilding and hand-painted scenes in the center, deep plate with a scalloped edge. Two of the fifteen plates are missing. "H&Co L FRANCE" and "F. M. Pooser 1893" on back of plate.|

|Provenance||The set of fifteen plates commemorate each of the Confederate States and one inclusive of all. The plates for North Carolina and Arkansas are missing. The set was given to Mrs. E. D. Hotchkiss by her co-workers at the Confederate Memorial Literary Society Bazaar held in Richmond in 1893.|
