Event Death and burial of Jefferson Davis, 1889
Provenance This banner was part of the draperies used on Jefferson Davis' bier in New Orleans, Louisiana in December 1889. The bier was secured for the Southern Society and subsequently burnt in the Freight Depot fire in Birmingham in 1890.
