|Description||Pocket knife: wooden handle with white metal blade and other components. Originally had two blades; the shorter blade has been broken off, leaving a single longer blade. The knife has wooden grips with nickel-plated end caps. "L. ADAM / 3d Co W. VA." is carved in the wood handle. "MAPPIN / BROTHERS / SHEFFIELD" stamped on the base of the broken blade. Something to the effect of "R. GIL" is stamped on the remaining blade.|
