Description Epaulet: One of a pair of epaulets (.13.262a-b) consisting of gold fringe and with brass crescents. The shoulder boards are gold thread with silver lieutenant's bars and an eagle button. The undersides are lined in red leather, marked in ink with "Brig. Gen. E. F. Paxton."
