Description Pattern 1822 British Light Cavalry / Artillery Officer saber; slightly curved single edged blade with single broad stopped fuller, etched with floral sprays and eagle, obverse ricasso six pointed star with inset brass "proved" disc; steel hilt of two branches and knuckle bow flowing into stepped pommel, small oval branch forms counter-guard, steel backstrap and ferrule, shagreen wrapped grip with twisted wire. Steel scabbard (.785a) with two suspension rings and drag.
