Two bands of decorative stitches are around the skirt bottom, 4.5 inches from hem. The bands consist of three one-eighth inch rows of hand-run tucks. The tucks are a quarter-inch apart. The nightgown back neckline is dipped and gathered tightly between shoulder seams. The bodice back has side seams extending from back of armscye to waist. They intersect the armscye between the shoulder and side center back. The back waistline is gathered by two half-inch ties. The ties run through a casing which is sewn into the back side seams. A pleat extends from the center back waistline down 8.5 inches. There is no center back seam. The nightgown is lined on bodice back from shoulder seams down to waist following side back seams and extending over to side seams. Pieces were first basted to outer pieces then sewn all together.
