Description Artifact remnant/fragment: oval piece of metal, probably brass. It has a loop, now slightly flattened, on one side and a lip bent away from the loop. The other side is dark colored. Five small holes pierce the flat portion, and were created by pressure from the light colored side to the dark. One third of the oval has been flattened and end of it missing. Original purpose was probably the backing to a locket or brooch. Reasons or purpose of modifications unknown.
