Unit Designation: In yellow paint, "5 N. C."
Battle Honors: Nearly illegible, "WILLIAMSBURG.", "SEVEN PINES.", "MALVERN HILL.", "SOUTH MOUNTAIN.", "SHARPSBURG.", "FREDERICKSBURG.", "COLD HARBOR.", and "MECHANICSVILLE."
