Event New Mexico Campaign
Provenance This is the only known uniform associated with Gen. Henry H. Sibley's abortive campaign to take New Mexico and Arizona for the Confederacy. It was probably made in San Antonio, Texas, for a kepi that accompanies it (and obviously was made at the same time) carries the cryptic inscription in the crown: "tailor/San Antonio."
