Description Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver - .31 cal., 5-shot round cylinder - does not advance, 4" octagonal barrel, replacement loading lever, missing plunger - likely from Bacon Mfg. Pocket Pistol (ball catch). Brass pin front sight, rear sight through v-notch in hammer. Casehardened frame, hammer, and loading lever; remainder blued. One piece walnut grip, Silver-plated brass large triggerguard, strap, and backstrap - replacement screw in backstrap at butt, all screws in damaged condition, hammerspring inoperable. Plating +/- 90% worn. Bluing/Mottling +/- 95% worn, heavily oxidized. Scene depicting a stagecoach hold-up is roll engraved on the cylinder - (visible).
