Etching hand painted in watercolors. The etching depicts a lady frontal view, from waist up. Her head is tilted to the right and she is looking over to the right. She is wearing a yellow head scarf, a red rose at her left ear, her dark hair worn long, her eyes are blue, mouth painted red, gold dangle earrings, long neck, a white bodice closed up the front with a v-shape collar, gold brooch with a red stone clasped at the center, blue and black patterned shawl or coat with black lapels. Framed in an ornate thermoplastic frame decorated in a grape cluster and grape leaf and grapevine motif, oval center edged in brass or metal with raised design, brass ring attached at top of raised rectangular opening on back, raised lettering on back reads, "Patented Aug 7 1855."
