Description The shawl is cream colored silk with floral embroidery and fringed edges. The main body is one piece of silk with fringe all around edge to back neck area, hand-sewn and embroidered. A smaller piece of fabric is set on the main body at the back neck, embroidered and fringed. The embroidery is double faced - same inside and out. The fringe on the smaller piece at neck is designed to hand down the back. There is no fringe where hair would be. The fringe on the main body piece is hand-knotted in chain-link pattern with tassles. The fringe on the smaller piece is hand-knotted in a chain link pattern with tassles. The embroidery stitches are satin on the stem.
