Description Confederate Foot Officer's Sword; slightly curved single-edged blade with single unstopped fuller; brass hilt pierced with floral sprays and rosettes; knuckle bow pierced for sword knot near pommel which is decorated on the forward end with leaf design; wood grip covered in leather and twisted wire; inside of guard cast with floral sprays and "CS". Leather scabbard (.28a) with brass mounts.
