Reverse: Blue silk field with embroidered orange wreath surrounding a design of two stone columns and a gate leading down a path. Where wreath meets at bottom, embroidered with the date "1565", when the city was founded.
Border: Gold metallic fringe on 3 sides.

|Provenance||Postwar flag of the 1st Battalion Florida State Troops, Co. B, "St. Augustine Guards". Presented to the company in 1891 by Miss Louise C. Vogel. When the company disbanded, the flag was returned to Mrs. Leo Vogel. The company was organized by 1885. Money was raised for the flag through amateur theatrical performances. The flag was presented to Captain W. I. Woodman in 1891. When the company disbanded, Captain F. H. Greatoren returned the flag to Mrs. Leo R. Vogel who presented it to the museum.|
