Description Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver - .31 cal., 5-shot cylinder, 6" octagonal barrel, attached loading lever. Brass pin front sight, rear sight through v-notch in hammer. Casehardened frame, hammer, and loading lever; remainder blued. One piece walnut grip - dented and chipped left side, Silver-plated brass small triggerguard, strap and backstrap. Scene depicting a stagecoach hold-up is roll engraved on the cylinder - (visible). Engraved - Backstrap: W. D. R. (in script) Scratched - Backstrap at butt: HF __Proof, Assembly Marks - Barrel lug, left, at frame: 4 Triggerguard, left shoulder: X Cylinder: 4 __ __Stamped - Barrel at top: { ADDRESS SAML COLT / NEW YORK CITY } Frame, left side: COLTS / PATENT Cylinder, Barrel lug at bottom, Frame at bottom, Triggerguard at bottom, Backstrap at butt: 81373 Loading lever, top side: 1373.
