|Description||One curtain panel; part of two pairs of curtains that are made of green silk and gold thread brocatelle (note: 21" side to side repeat, the repeat height is 53.5" by 54"). The pattern is a large rococo revival style with flowers and scrolls. It is lined with a white Canton flannel.|
These two pairs of curtains were purchased at the 1870 auction of goods from the Davis Mansion by the Blair family. Altered from their original appearance by the Blairs, and relined with flannel instead of silk, they have lost their original heavy beading and some of the cords.
[Reproduction fabric is known as the "Davis Brocatelle" and is used in the Dining Room.]
