Provenance Made from beef bones by Confederate POWs at Fort Delaware who were captured with John Hunt Morgan. Dr. William Hays of Co. F, 2nd Kentucky Cavalry, was captured with Morgan (probably in 1863) and remained in the prison at Fort Delaware until the close of the war.
