|Description||The sugar tub is carved from wood and resembles a miniature pail. It has a handle attached, which is broken. The tub also has a wooden lid (.59b) with a string attached. A carved relief of flowers decorates the top of the lid. A written history is inside the sugar tub.|

|Provenance||A. G. Perry made this sugar tub with lid while he was imprisoned at Rock Island Military Prison. He was assigned to Barracks #47. Perry was a member of Co. I, 29th Mississippi. He gave the sugar tub to Miss Kate E. Perry ("Faithful") in 1863. The string attached to the lid is the original one on the tub when it was given to Miss Perry.|
